Industry certifications are one way students can demonstrate competencies and skills obtained.

Brainbench

Brainbench features numerous exams on various skills. Brainbench may be used during the program to validate competencies over the areas studied and is a great first start in achieving certifications that count towards program completion. An advantage of Brainbench is that you can maintain a link from your digital portfolio to your exam results to share with prospective employers and these tests are free to Career Tech Students! Adobe Certified Associate

The Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) certifications validate basic, entry-level skills in digital communication, creation, and design using Adobe tools. The following Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exams are targeted within the Digital Design Career Majors:

  • Adobe Certified Associate – Visual Communications Using Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Certified Associate – Print & Digital Media Publication Using Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe Certified Associate – Web Authoring Using Adobe Dreamweaver

The following Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exams are targeted within the Digital Design Career Majors:

  • Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Photoshop
  • Adobe Certified Expert – Adobe Illustrator

Students may need additional experience and training before taking the ACE exams.
